FATCA/CRS Impact on Ex-Pats
In the past several years, the U.S. and other jurisdictions around the world have increased the burden on individuals through complex regulations. As a result, ex-patriate employees are being inundated with form requests by employers, financial institutions and the U.S. government. The goal of this training is to provide an understanding of the tax transparency issues and forms ex-pats will face during their deployment.
The session will cover:
-
The Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts Report (FBAR)
-
IRS Form 8938 Statement of Special Foreign Financial Assets
-
Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and Form W-8BEN
-
Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and Self-Certifications
The above program is offered via live webinar or in person. The length of the session is geared toward the organization's needs. This training can be done in tandem with the internal or external accountant assigned to assist your company’s ex-pats with their individual tax preparation.
This training is helpful for human resources personnel responsible for ex-pat assignments; tax department personnel responsible for assisting ex-pats with individual tax compliance; senior international managers; and ex-pats.
